Problem:
If the water isn’t circulating or the pump isn’t activating, it’s likely due to air trapped in the hoses or inside the water chiller. This air blockage prevents proper water flow, stopping the pump from starting the circulation.
Quick Fix:
To resolve this, force water through the system by following these steps:
Open the drain valve with the inlet chiller hose connected and the chiller powered on.
Remove the outlet hose from the Pod and manually draw air out or water through.
Close the top drain valve before disconnecting the hose to prevent air from re-entering.
Additional Solutions:
1) Check and Secure Connections:
Use the white Teflon sealing tape provided with the chiller.
Ensure all hose connections are tight and that rubber seal rings are installed around the connectors and filter unit.
Reconnect all components, open both drain valves, and turn on the chiller.
This should allow the filter to fill with water and remove any remaining air within a few minutes. If this doesn’t resolve the problem, proceed to the next steps or contact support.
2) Adjust Hose Placement and Chiller Position:
Disconnect the outlet hose from the Pod or top drain valve and place it on the floor or in a bucket.
Ensure the chiller is positioned at ground level so the Pod’s water level is higher than the chiller’s filter. Do not elevate the chiller, as this will prevent water flow.
Steps to Restore Circulation:
Turn on the chiller and ensure the pump’s power cord is connected to the chiller.
Confirm that the Pod’s valve is open and the hose connected to the filter is attached to the Pod’s bottom valve.
Open the filter to release trapped air, allowing water to flow into the chiller. Close the filter once it fills with water.
Once water flows consistently out of the outlet hose, place the hose back into the Pod to complete the circulation loop.
Circulation should now be restored. Water flowing steadily from the pump’s outlet hose indicates that the system is functioning, and you can set the chiller’s temperature.
